Happy Halloween 2008

It was a successful night.

Lots of candy and smiles from the kids.

We went and had dinner at my mom's and then hit the street knockin down the doors.

I need a foot massage.

Pumpkin Patch 2008

Today Aaliyah had her pre-school field trip to the Black Island Pumpkin Patch. I had to work and then watch Shelby at her school Halloween Parade and then I met up with Layne and the girls.

What a seriously fun place! AND HUGE!

We went on a hay ride and then out to a field to pick our own pumpkins and then the kids played on all sort of toys and petted animals.

Good times!

Haunted Gingerbread Houses?

Ashlyn really just ate the decorations and watched her sisters create their masterpieces.

It was Spooky delicious fun!

Milk'in it!

So this past weekend I was in a wrestling match with Layne, Aaliyah and Ashlyn.

I'll just say they won.

I got a knee to the chest and a few x-rays later I got confirmation that I have some broken ribs.

(As if I needed the x-rays to tell me that!)

Yea, so I'm milk'in it.

Layne helped me do my hair this morning and put my bra on. I don't think he minded too much. :)

So do Meals-on-Wheels help just the elderly or people with broken ribs?

I'm just wondering!

Corn Maze Suggestions?

I wanted to take the girls to a corn maze tomorrow night. We used to go to the one in Farmington, but it no longer is around.

Does anyone know of a fun place to go that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

Acutally I am not looking for love, but I am looking for a job.

I have a job, BUT I am looking for something I can do at home part-time to full-time.

I figured what better way then to let my friends who seem to have ALL kinds of connections with their friends know through my blog.

Shelby had her second Jr. Jazz game tonight.

Close game. They won by one!

There were irritated coaches and parents. I love it when it is like that! Really what fun is it if everyone just gets along? We don't play for the fun of it, we play to WIN. I'm just sayin.

Thanks for coming out Mike and Emily and kids. Caden provided half-time entertainment for all.

Apple Party?

Who here has heard of an Apple Party?

Monday night Aaliyah wanted to have an "Apple Party."

What does this consist of you ask?

1. Cut up apples.

2. Caramel dip.

3. Lighted candles.

4. Lights out.

5. Game of tag or hide and seek to follow.

Those are your ingredients to an "Apple Party".

She came up with this all on her own. We love anything we can do by candle light at our house.

Yes, anything.

So Layne, me, Aaliyah and Ashlyn ate our apples and caramel by candle light. Then we played tag and hide and seek.

Good times. Aaliyah kept saying to us "Aren't you guys glad I thought of having an Apple Party?"

"Yes, Aaliyah, Yes, we are SO glad you thought of it!"

Three for today......

Snow Patrol

I'm not referring to the band group here people.

Aaliyah was perched on the couch looking out the window all day yesterday in anticipation of the snow.

It never snowed.

Then we woke up and first thing she did was run to the window. To say she was happy is an understatement. Mom is a little less thrilled and Ashlyn wanted NOTHING to do with any of it.

2. Snuggle days with no where to go.

I have decided to start our family blog up again, but to keep it private.

Thanks for your emails encouraging us to get back on board. I have loved keeping in touch with family through blogging and feel like if it were not for blogging I would not know some of you (cousins) as well as I do now.
