Hot Chocolate, Roasted Nuts, Old Friends, and Real Soccer

Layne and I went to the Salt Lake Real soccer game Saturday night with some of my old high school friends!

I had not seen my friends Heather and Julie in 15 + years and it was so much fun to see each other again.

It was a great game, even though we lost 1-0

The hot chocolate was great and the roasted almonds were even better!

OH MY GOSH have you ever tasted them?

(No, Heather I have not been living under a rock, but I have never tried roasted almonds before!)

(Do I smell Goose?)

SO GOOD!

We took our friend Alan along with us. As you can see he is smiling, not because he is having so much fun at the game, but because he is in a texting conversation with a really cute girl....Wish you could have been there with us Sara!

Motorcycle Motorcycle Motorcycle FAST AND FUN!

First off I want to say Abbie did a KILLER job on her talk in Sacrament meeting on Sunday. Thanks for coming to support her Mom!

Ok.....

Saturday we were invited by a VERY old friend,

(no he is not old, but old as in back of the day of high school old) to come up and ride motorcycles on his 5 acres of motor cross track.

SO glad we did!

The girls had so much fun playing in the mud, climbing hills, making mud pies and playing with Alan's girls.

Layne took Aaliyah SLOWLY around the track!

She loved it and is asking for her own bike now. That a girl!

I went around also....SLOWLY! Just once.

That was good enough for me!

I opted more to sit in the back of the van like a loyal groupy fan and cheered my honey on and passed out treats to the kids. I totally should have gotten me a FOX shirt to wear!

I had to take self portraits to entertain myself at one point :)

It was so fun to watch Alan. He is SUCH a great rider!

We had such a great time! Thanks Alan!

If the weather holds out he has invited up again next weekend. Yeah, I don't think we have to think about that one to hard!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Ok, so this is a day late.

My Mom's birthday was yesterday and it was a wirl-wind of a day.

I did however not want to let her birthday pass without giving her a big shout out.

You are the best Mom and Grandmother.

I know that everyone says that about their Mom's, but I really mean it and YOU really are the BEST!

You really are so caring, giving, an over acheiver, brutally honest, mildly OCD, great listener, gorgeous inside and out, great support to Layne and I and our kids. They love that you try not to miss any event that includes them, and you are so much fun to hang out with!

I hope you had a nice evening out with us. I am looking forward to our GNO that we need to have very soon. I need a girls only night out!

Happy Halloween 2008

It was a successful night.

Lots of candy and smiles from the kids.

We went and had dinner at my mom's and then hit the street knockin down the doors.

Pumpkin Patch 2008

Today Aaliyah had her pre-school field trip to the Black Island Pumpkin Patch. I had to work and then watch Shelby at her school Halloween Parade and then I met up with Layne and the girls.

What a seriously fun place! AND HUGE!

We went on a hay ride and then out to a field to pick our own pumpkins and then the kids played on all sort of toys and petted animals.

Good times!

Haunted Gingerbread Houses?

Ashlyn really just ate the decorations and watched her sisters create their masterpieces.

It was Spooky delicious fun!

Milk'in it!

So this past weekend I was in a wrestling match with Layne, Aaliyah and Ashlyn.

I'll just say they won.

I got a knee to the chest and a few x-rays later I got confirmation that I have some broken ribs.

(As if I needed the x-rays to tell me that!)

Yea, so I'm milk'in it.

Layne helped me do my hair this morning and put my bra on. I don't think he minded too much. :)

So do Meals-on-Wheels help just the elderly or people with broken ribs?

I'm just wondering!

Corn Maze Suggestions?

I wanted to take the girls to a corn maze tomorrow night. We used to go to the one in Farmington, but it no longer is around.

Does anyone know of a fun place to go that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?
